Ondanks dat de Sigma 18-250mm f3,5-6,3 DC OS HSM vanaf deze maand alleen nog maar verkrijgbaar is voor de Canon-vatting, wint het objectief toch al een Award. Volgende de TIPA is dit een prima objectief voor beginners door zijn scherpstelafstand van 45cm, de beeldstabilisatie en de motor die het zoomen supersnel en geluidloos laat verlopen.

De andere TIPA Awards gaan onder andere naar de Nikon D90 voor gevorderden en de D3x voor de professionele camera's. De Panasonic G-serie heeft de Award gewonnen voor beste design. Canon mag natuurlijk ook niet in de rijtje ontbreken: de Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L wint de prijs voor beste professionele objectief.

The 13,8x zoom Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM integrates the exclusive Optical Stabilization system. Four special low dispersion (SLD) glass elements and three aspheric elements ensure very high quality. A minimum focus distance of 45 cm at all focal lengths proved a very appreciated solution.

This lens is also best in class due to the smoothest zoom action and the fast and silent AF (by HSM).
